Solera Old Fashioned
An Old Fashioned is typically made with whiskey or bourbon, but Hilton Head Distillery makes it with Solera Aged Rum. An Old Fashioned is iconic because it’s from the pre-prohibition days, and it’s the perfect example of the saying, “less is more.” There’s beauty in simplicity, and this is the best cocktail for a spirit shine.

Ingredients
2 ounces Solera Rum
1 bar spoon simple syrup
4 dashes of cherry bitters
Directions
[1] Combine in a mixing glass with ice and swizzle for 25 turns. [2] Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. [3] Garnish with an orange swath and cherry.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka
TitoRita
Cool down with a twist on the traditional Margarita. Blended orange liqueur and fresh lime juice give the TitoRita a sweet and sour punch.

Ingredients
2 ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
2 ounces lime juice
1/4 ounce agave
Directions
[1] Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. [2] Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. [3] Garnish with a lime slice.
Pro-tip:
If you like it salty, use a glass with a salted rim.
Burnt Church Distillery
The Sour Patch
This twist on the Whiskey Sour features local whiskey, a bit of lime, elderflower simple syrup and orgeat. The flavor profile is a bit more complex and a bit more delicious.

Ingredients
Absinthe, for coating the glass
2 ounces Bluffton Whisky
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
1 ounce elderflower simple syrup
1/2 ounce orgeat
1 ounce egg white
Directions
[1] Spray absinthe in a martini glass and coat. [2] Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake and pour into the martini glass. [3] Garnish with dehydrated lemon and a sprig of rosemary.
