Iconic beverages with a twist

Classics are classics for a reason. In the spirit of the “Iconic Issue,” we’ve gathered some cocktail recipes that have stood the test of time. Try these iconic cocktails with a little twist.

Hilton Head Distillery

Solera Old Fashioned

An Old Fashioned is typically made with whiskey or bourbon, but Hilton Head Distillery makes it with Solera Aged Rum. An Old Fashioned is iconic because it’s from the pre-prohibition days, and it’s the perfect example of the saying, “less is more.” There’s beauty in simplicity, and this is the best cocktail for a spirit shine.

2 ounces Solera Rum

1 bar spoon simple syrup

4 dashes of cherry bitters
