Sidecar
Legend says the Sidecar was born near the end of World War I for an army officer who arrived at a Paris bar in a motorcycle sidecar. Copper & Kings Butchertown Reserve Brandy from Kentucky replaces traditional cognac here, bringing warm vanilla, oak and spice to the drink’s bright citrus backbone.
- 2 ounces Copper & Kings Butchertown Reserve Brandy
- 3/4 ounce Cointreau orange liqueur
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- Sugar for rim
- Orange slice for garnish
Run a lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled coupe glass, and dip into sugar. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add brandy, orange liqueur and lemon juice. Shake vigorously until well chilled, and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with an orange wedge.
