Spring Cocktails with Gin: Watermelon Gimlet and Peach Mint Slushee Recipes
Laid-back cocktails that taste like spring in a glass
There is a certain kind of comfort only a Southern spring can deliver. Porch chairs fill, screens swing open and suddenly there is nowhere else you need to be. That same easy rhythm carries into the glass this month, where cocktails lean into peach, watermelon and fresh herbs, brightened with citrus and finished with a clean botanical lift. These seasonal sips from Broad Creek Spirits Group, led by Tony Bagnulo, showcase Hilton Head Island’s Bulrush Gin in a way that feels both refreshing and unmistakably Lowcountry. Unfussy and full of flavor, they are made for slow afternoons, long conversations and warm evenings when summer is just beginning to show its hand.
