Before + After: Restoring hard surfaces gives them new life
Back to life – Restoring old grout, tile and natural stone surfaces gives them new life

In life there are times when a touch of TLC can make a world of difference, especially when it comes to the hard surfaces in our homes. Whether it is tile, grout or natural stone, owner Scott Odom of Sir Grout of the Lowcountry shows his rejuvenation expertise with these worn-out hard surfaces.
Natural stone foyer
This natural stone foyer was losing its sparkle and shine after routine cleaning. The team performed a stone cleaning, honing and polishing processes. The final touch was applying ColorSeal, which prevents discoloration by repelling grout contaminants.

Travertine floor
The beige travertine floor was worn and stained with dirt, and the client used store-bought products to try to restore the original stone. Unfortunately, store-bought cleaners contain abrasive substances that can etch, discolor and scratch natural stone, allowing dirt to latch onto travertine surfaces. To combat this, a grout cleaning and Stone Armour sealant were added. The sealant protects stone, tile and grout from water, stains, spills, mold and mildew.

Elegant Carrara marble countertop
This island countertop sits at the heart of a client’s kitchen and needed some love to get back to the center spotlight. The countertop required an in-house-produced pH-balanced cleaning solution and high-temperature steam cleaning to remove all residue, followed by a honing process that utilizes industrial diamonds to remove stains, etching and scratching.

Mosaic medallions
Time has a tendency to leave its mark on our flooring. This mosaic medallion was restored to its former glory after a grout cleaning, color sealing and application of TileArmour, which protects surfaces against wear, tear, spills and stains.
