HGTV is handing over the keys to its 2025 Dream Home in Berkeley Hall to Tricia Smith, a 48-year-old special education teacher from the Bronx. Originally from Antigua, Smith was selected from over 118 million entries and is now a first-time homeowner. This month, we’re stepping through the French doors to one of her new home’s most inviting spaces: the covered back porch.

There’s something magical about a porch that delivers sunshine without the sweat.
