This Palmetto Bluff Backyard Blurs the Line Between Indoors and Out
A custom chaise swing, plush furnishings and sweeping marsh views transform this outdoor retreat into one of the home’s most inviting destinations.

For the interior of this Palmetto Bluff home, Kelly Caron of Kelly Caron Designs let the landscape guide its look and feel. For the exterior, she brought those same indoor luxuries outdoors.
When selecting the patio furniture, Caron sought pieces that mirrored those used indoors while standing up to the outdoor environment. For the sofa she gravitated toward soft cushions upholstered in durable performance fabrics. Topped with decorative cheetah-print pillows, the result delivers comfort, practicality and style in equal measure.
Surrounded by uninterrupted Lowcountry views, little work was needed to make this backyard a showstopper. To fully take it all in, interior designer Kelly Caron worked with Lowcountry Originals to design a custom chaise porch swing. Overlooking the marsh, it’s the ideal spot for an early morning cup of coffee or an impromptu afternoon siesta.
With picturesque water views, the home’s outdoor living spaces needed little embellishment to feel beautiful. Instead, Caron prioritized comfort, selecting pieces designed to enhance time spent outside. Plush cushions on the patio sofa invite hours of lounging, while a custom porch swing makes stargazing feel dreamlike. Complete with an outdoor kitchen, entertainment center and pool, the exterior living spaces feel every bit as sumptuous as those inside. From the front door to the backyard, every detail is designed to feel luxurious, stunning and distinctly Lowcountry.
