The moment you step into this Palmetto Bluff bedroom, a sense of calm settles in. Curated by J. Banks executive designer Lisa Whitley, the space evokes instant tranquility with its hushed palette of grays and creams, subtly warmed by wooden accents and touches of gold. Though quiet in effect, the room never feels dull. Instead, it soothes, setting the tone for peaceful nights and unhurried mornings.

1. Simple armchair
Beside the window, a chair provides the perfect spot to take in the lush Palmetto Bluff scenery. Upholstered to match the rest of the room, its simple gray cushions and rich umber frame evoke quiet elegance.

2. Gold reading light
For couples, an overhead reading light is the ultimate solution for both nighttime readers and light sleepers. Its small, targeted beam illuminates just enough of the bed to cozy up with a good book, while the rest of the room remains blanketed in darkness.

3. Wooden double dresser
For easy storage, this double dresser delivers on both utility and style. Its six equally sized drawers make divvying up space simple, while its cool-toned stain and cylindrical detailing bring a modern edge to the room.

4. Industrial-style nightstand
Flanking either side of the canopy bed, matching nightstands offer additional storage for books, photographs and decor. The industrial style complements the room’s contemporary finish, while the gold knobs nod to classic luxury.

5. Patterned area rug
A large area rug provides a soft landing when you rise from bed. Its grid-like pattern makes a subtle statement, separating the wooden bed frame above from the flooring below, while tying cohesively into the rest of the room.

6. Glass table lamps
Both bold and barely there, a pair of glass table lamps offers gentle bedside lighting. Despite their height, the lamps never overwhelm, thanks to their transparent bases which balance the drama with wide, conical shades above.
