Best Friends Dog Park
Chaplin Community Park, Hilton Head Island
Chaplin Park has lots of great amenities for both you and your dog, big or small. Your dog will have a great time roaming around, chasing after endless amounts of tennis balls while keeping cool in the shade under the thick canopy of trees. It’s a well-maintained, fenced-in area that has a separate section for small dogs. There are also lots of designated digging holes and water bowls, making this the perfect destination for warm days.

Southside Dog Park
Wastewater Way, Beaufort
Beaufort’s only dedicated dog park is popular for its size, with tons of open space for dogs to run around and play. It has two sides to divide larger and smaller dogs, plus they are adding new things all the time. Highlights include benches, doggy water fountains, trash receptacles and doggy waste bags. After having fun at the park, take your dog for a scenic walk along the beautiful Spanish Moss Trail nearby. This 10-mile paved path follows the former Magnolia Rail Line through the best of South Carolina’s Lowcountry landscapes.

Bluffton Dog Park
Oscar Frazier Park, Bluffton
Bluffton is home to many dog owners, so after this dog park at Oscar Frazer Park finally opened after 12 years of waiting, it was just what the community needed. The top priority here is the comfort of the dogs. The park is separated into three sections: one for small dogs, one for large dogs, and one for quiet or senior dogs. This medium-sized park is also in a great area for families with a playground, baseball diamonds and a pool all nearby.

Hardeeville Dog Park
2293 Main St., Hardeeville
At the Richard Gray Sports Complex, find a clean and secure environment with plenty of open space for your dog to run wild. The park includes separate sections for small and large dogs, water stations and benches for those much-needed breaks. During the warmer months it’s best to visit the park early in the morning or later in the day, as shade is limited, unless your pups enjoy working on their tan. After having fun at the dog park, take your pup on a road trip to nearby Savannah. The dog-friendly city welcomes pups at many outdoor restaurants, or get the true tourist experience and book a slot on Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk Tour.

Burton Wells Dog Park
Burton Wells Park, 118 Burton Wells Road, Beaufort
This dog park offers a serene environment with ample space for dogs to explore and enjoy. With separate areas for large and small dogs, water stations to keep your furry friend hydrated and shaded seating areas for those needed breaks, it’s a perfect spot for dogs of all sizes. The surrounding park’s trails provide the perfect opportunity for a scenic post-play walk, ideal for stretching out both canine and human legs. Stroll along the nearby marina and Bay Street, and admire beautiful historic homes, many of which pre-date the Civil War.
